Ctiny allows you to set expiration rules for your links, either based on number of clicks or time duration. Once a link expires, users attempting to access it will be redirected to a page indicating that the link has expired. You can enable or disable this feature at any time.
Step 1: Access Link Configuration

  1. Navigate to your Ctiny dashboard and locate the link you wish to configure.
  2. Click the Edit button to open the detailed configuration page.

Step 2: Open Link Expiration Settings

  1. Expand the Expire Link section by clicking on the relevant modal.
  2. Enable link expiration by selecting the checkbox.

Step 3: Set Expiration Criteria

Expire Link Based on Clicks:

  • In the By Visits (Number of Clicks) field, specify the maximum number of clicks allowed for the link.
  • Once the click limit is reached, the link will expire.
  • Click Update to save the changes.

Expire Link Based on Time:

  • Use the By Time field to set a duration for the link's validity.
  • Select the desired unit (e.g., minutes or days) from the Duration dropdown menu.
  • After the specified duration, the link will expire.
  • Click Update to save the changes.

What Happens When a Link Expires?

When a link expires, users will be redirected to a default page notifying them that the link is no longer active.

This feature is especially useful for managing time-sensitive campaigns or controlling access to content.
