How to Modify Destination Link, Domain, Slug, and Tags

In this article, you'll learn how to modify key aspects of an already generated short link, including the destination URL, domain, slug, and tags. Follow the steps below for each action:

You can easily update the destination URL of an existing short link at any time. Here's how:

1. From the main dashboard, locate the link you want to modify and click the Edit button.

3. In the Original URL field, update the URL to the new destination, then click Update to save the changes.

You can also change the domain of your existing short link. To do so:

1. In the Domain field, select from the list of domains associated with your account. By default, ctiny.me is used for all links.
2. After choosing your preferred domain, click Update to apply the changes.

Important: Updating the domain will cause the old link to stop working, so please use this feature with caution, especially for links already shared.

To modify the slug (the customizable part of the short link), follow these steps:

1. In the Slug field, enter the desired slug.
2. Note that slugs can only contain lowercase letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), hyphens (-), and underscores (_), and must be unique for each domain.

Tags are helpful for organizing and grouping your links. To manage tags:

1. Click the ADD TAG button to add a new tag.
2. You can create up to 3 tags per link.
3. To remove a tag, simply click the close button next to the tag you wish to remove.
