Geo-targeting allows you to direct users to the most relevant webpage based on their geographic location. By leveraging users' IP addresses, Ctiny identifies their country and redirects them to a page tailored for their region. This feature enhances user experience, improves conversion rates, and helps you cater to a global audience with minimal effort.
Use Cases for Geo-Targeting
Amazon Affiliates: If your audience is spread across different countries, geo-targeting simplifies the process of sharing region-specific product links. For example, a link to an Amazon product on amazon.com might redirect users from India to Amazon India, ensuring users are directed to the correct regional product page.
Multi-Language Support: Geo-targeting allows you to display the appropriate language for users based on their country, ensuring the user interface is regionally relevant.
Currency Preferences: For e-commerce websites, geo-targeting ensures that users land on product pages that display the local currency for their country, improving the shopping experience by eliminating the need for users to manually select their preferred currency.
How to Set Up Geo-Targeting
1. Navigate to the Link: From the main dashboard, click the Edit button of the link you wish to configure geo-targeting for.
2. Open Geo-Targeting Settings: In the detailed configuration page, click on the Geo-Targeting modal to expand the available options.
Example
If you are sharing a link for a product on Amazon:
- Users from the US: Redirected to https://www.amazon.com/Fender-CD-60-Dreadnaught-Acoustic-Guitar/dp/B07N25S8KX/
- Users from India: Redirected to https://www.amazon.in/Fender-Dread-String-Acoustic-Guitar/dp/B07RL6VG3H/
By setting up geo-targeting, you can ensure users always land on the most appropriate page, tailored to their location.
