Protect your links with a password to ensure only authorized users can access the destination content. Enabling password protection adds an extra layer of security, allowing you to control who gets redirected to the original URL.

Steps to Enable Password Protection

1. Access Link Configuration

  • Navigate to your Ctiny dashboard and locate the link you want to protect.
  • Click the Edit button to open the detailed configuration page.

2. Enable Password Protection

  • Open the Password Protection section by clicking the Password modal.
  • Check the Enable Password box and enter a secure password in the provided field.

3. Save Your Changes

  • Click the Update button to apply and save the password protection settings.

User Experience

Once password protection is enabled, users attempting to access the link will be directed to a page prompting them to enter the password. Only after entering the correct password will they be redirected to the original destination URL.

This feature ensures that your links remain private and secure.
